ALAMOSA — In these uncertain times as you search for activities that can fill those once social hours, Spines may just be the answer. The Friends of the Alamosa Library is now offering customers the chance to shop at Spines by appointment for gently used books.

Patrons may contact Rhonda at 719-580-2010 or Allyn at 719-588-9410 to schedule a time to shop. Masks will be required, and we urge you to bring exact change for your purchases. A suggested purchase/donation of $20 per visit would be appreciated.

Volunteers for the Friends have cleared old materials from the venue and restocked with updated choices in all categories. We have had large donations of music CDs and DVDs as well as books. We now offer a special section for Spanish-language adult and children’s fiction, and you can check out our free items at Spines or visit the Little Free Library in your area.
