ALAMOSA – The San Luis Valley Dust Devils will host a Special Olympics mini-meet on May 6 at the Alamosa High School stadium.

The meet begins at 10:15 a.m. with the field events. The field events include the softball throw, the standing long jump and the running long jump.

The walk/running events will take place following the conclusion of the field events. The track events include the 100-meter run, the 100-meter walk, 25-meter walk, the 50-meter walk, the 50-meter run, the 200-meter run, and the 4x100-meter walk/run.

Volunteers are needed and should arrive at 9:45 a.m. There will be a youth soccer game prior to the meet so volunteers will need to pick up trash and move seating.
