SOUTH FORK — South Fork resident Rex Shaw, 47, died Monday afternoon in a rollover crash on Colorado 149, approximately 4.5 miles north of South Fork.

The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) was notified of the single vehicle roll over crash at about 2:35 p.m. on April 23.

A 1995 black Toyota 4-Runner was northbound on Colorado 149. The vehicle drove off the right side of the road and then overcorrected in the roadway. The vehicle then ran off the left side of the roadway and rolled 4 3/4 times coming to rest on its passenger side, according to the CSP. The driver, identified as Shaw, was not wearing his seatbelt, and was ejected from the vehicle during the roll. Shaw was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
