ALAMOSA — Wildland fires in Arizona and New Mexico sent heavy smoke into most of the San Luis Valley on Tuesday. Some reports indicate smoke in the valley was visible on satellite imagery.

Other reports indicated that there were concerns of an actual fire in the Creede area and South Fork firefighters were reportedly on scene of a small fire near Wolf Creek Pass.

People with respiratory issues should avoid the outdoors in severe smokey conditions.
