SLV COVID-19 Public Health Update - August 17, 2022

SAN LUIS VALLEY– Free COVID-19 PCR testing supported by the state is returning to the San Luis Valley beginning Friday, August 19th. The testing site is located at Conour Hall at Adams State University, at the corner of Edgemont and First St. in Alamosa. Free testing will be available Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10:30am-6pm. Registration can be done on site or in advance at affinityecarecolorado.com.

COVID-19 vaccines reduce the likelihood of severe illness, hospitalization, and death. Novavax has been added to the available COVID-19 vaccines on the state supported mobile vaccine clinics, which are scheduled at the following locations: 

  • Thursday 8/18/22 at Alamosa Public Library, 10am-6pm

  • Friday 8/19/22 at Simple Foods in Del Norte, 10am-6pm

  • Sunday 8/21/22 at Casa Blanca Park in Center, 10am-6pm

  • Tuesday 8/23/22 across the street from Del Norte Schools, 10am-6pm

  • Wednesday 8/24/22 at Crestone Mercantile, 10am-3pm

  • Friday 8/26/22 at Silver Thread Public Health/Mineral Office in Creede,  10am-6pm
