Sierra Grande School District hosts community meeting

BLANCA — Sierra Grande School District is holding a community meeting to help shape its facilities for “21st Century Learning.” The district will share news, planning efforts and progress on their new District Master Plan on Wednesday, November 15, from 6-8 p.m. at the Sierra Grande school auditorium, 17523 Hwy 160, Blanca. 

Topics will include a general assessment of current facilities and future needs, design for 21st education environments, safe and secure campus facilities, potential tax levy impacts and more.

Superintendent Darren Edgar and other members of the District’s DAG (District Advisory Group) are partnering with architects Jim Murray of CSHQA and Alan Ford of Alan Ford Architects to provide a current work-to-date summary, answer questions and lead break-out sessions for community members to review plans and discuss ideas that will map the future of the district.
