Sherrie Dianne Maule

Sherrie Dianne Maule passed away September 7, 2017 following a brief illness.  She was born in Alamosa, Colorado to Albert and Irma (Nash) Bennett on February 25, 1941.  Sherrie graduated from Alamosa High School and obtained teaching degrees from Adams State University (Colorado) and Arizona State University.  In 1966, she moved to Scottsdale, Arizona where she met and married William (Bill) Maule on June 25, 1978.  They celebrated 39 years together.  Sherrie loved working with children, teaching physical education at Scottsdale and Chaparral High Schools, later adding special education P.E. at Coronado High.  She led a very active life, whether traveling internationally or within the U.S.  Trips that Sherrie and Bill enjoyed include summers in San Diego, many classic car events, boating and skiing.  Her Beta Sigma Phi sisters were especially dear to her.  Survivors include husband Bill, sisters Judy Martin, Darla Chappell and Shelley (Joe) Martinez, brother Kelly Bennett and a large extended family both on the Bennett and Maule sides.  She was adventurous, loving and generous, beautiful on the inside and out.  Sherrie will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Messingers Indian School, Scottsdale, Arizona.
