San Luis Valley senior menus shared for April
VALLEY—Following are the April menus for the senior centers throughout the San Luis Valley. Reservations are required. Call South Central Colorado Seniors at 589-4511 or sign up at the individual meal sites. All meals are served with 1-percent milk, no trans fat and no salt margarine. Margarine is served with bread products. Menus are subject to change.
Monday, April 3 — Spaghetti and meat sauce, salad, green beans, apricot halves, breadsticks
Tuesday, April 4 — Split pea soup/ham, chef’s salad/broccoli with turkey, apple slices, whole wheat crackers
Wednesday, April 5 — Roast beef with gravy, mashed potatoes, lemon herbed broccoli, whole wheat roll, diced pears
Thursday, April 6— Chicken enchilada casserole, Spanish rice, salad, fruit cocktail, whole wheat crackers
Friday, April 7 — Fish on whole wheat bun, beets, creamy coleslaw, mandarin oranges, sugar cookie
Monday, April 10 — Pueblo beef stew, tossed salad, yellow squash/tomatoes, cornbread, chocolate pudding
Tuesday, April 11— Turkey tetrazzini, Italian green beans, cottage cheese with mandarin oranges, whole wheat bread
Wednesday, April 12 — Baked potato with chili and cheese, carrot coins, whole wheat crackers, diced pears
Thursday, April 13 — Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, asparagus, apricot halves, whole wheat roll
Friday, April 14 — Tuna patties, cream sauce, steamed brown rice, spinach, half orange, whole wheat bread
Monday, April 17 — Lasagna with meat, confetti corn, salad, garlic bread, one orange
