Saguache County Sheriff’s Office requests public assistance in missing child

VALLEY– Based upon new information they have received, the Saguache County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) is asking for the public’s assistance in the case of a missing 5-year-old girl who they believe may be in the area.

Lea Vikhrev is believed to be with her non-custodial father, Andrew Vikhrev, who has been spotted in the area. According to SCSO Corporal Hansen, Vikhrev may be receiving help in evading capture by a live-in nanny, identified as Bethany Clement.

Hansen states that Clement is driving a white SUV Lexus, New York license plate ZUBR or something similar. Vikhrev was reportedly last seen in Alamosa several days ago. SCSO believes he has since returned to the Crestone area.

Additional vehicles that may be involved include a Yellow GMC Savana van with Colorado license plate CFU-097 and Gray 2007 Nissan Xterra SUV Colorado license plate 729-YAP

Lea Vikhrev is described as white with brown hair and brown eyes, 3’6” tall and weighs 39 pounds.

Hansen states that this is currently a case of recovery of a missing child, and anyone with information is asked to call the SCSO office at 719-655-2544. Anyone who spots Vikhrev or Clement’s vehicle is encouraged to call 911.

Information posted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children states Lea Vikhrev was reported missing from Houston, Texas in September 2021.
