Rotary hosts AirMedCare Network speaker

ALAMOSA — The Alamosa Rotary Club is pleased to announce that Cara Reano of AirMedCare Network will be the speaker on Monday, October 9, at noon at Juanito’s Restaurant, 1019 Sixth Street in Alamosa.

The AirMedCare Network is an alliance of affiliated air ambulance providers. Reano will explain how membership in this service may be of benefit in the event of a medical emergency.

With more than 320 aircraft locations and extending across 39 states AirMedCare is the largest network of independently owned and operated air ambulance service in the United States. Highly skilled nurses, medics and pilots are prepared to handle emergency medical situations in remote areas such as the mountains of the San Luis Valley.

Cara was originally scheduled to speak at Alamosa Rotary in May. However, she was in a serious head-on accident on Highway 285.

Cara sustained seven broken bones, the biggest being her sternum, ribs and hip. She has since recovered and can now speak from the perspective of a patient. Cara has stated, “I have become my own testimonial.” All are welcome to attend.
