Rosemary workshop set

The “Mother” Rosemary plant dwarfs Joel Kaufman at the Alamosa Community Greenhouse located at 1201 Edison Avenue in Alamosa. A hands-on workshop will be held on Sunday, December 3, at 2 p.m. to prune this fragrant shrub. Cuttings will be used to propagate new plants and fresh rosemary will be given to all participants. There’s no fee for the workshop, but donations will be accepted in exchange for plants. Rosemary is one of the best antioxidant herbs and is also excellent for enhancing circulation. It helps increase the oxygen supply to the brain, thus sharpening concentration and memory and is known as a symbol of remembrance. Medicinal and culinary uses will be presented.
