Roberto A. DeLuna “Beto”, 86

Longtime Alamosa resident Roberto A. DeLuna “Beto”, 86, left us to be with the lord on June 18th, 2017 at St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, CO with his family by his side.

Roberto was born June 22nd, 1931 in Beeville, Texas to Santiago and Clemencia DeLuna.  In 1950 he married Yolanda Sauceda. They enjoyed more than 67 years of marriage together until his passing.

Roberto earned his living in the trucking industry, but his true joy came from family and music. Roberto was a passionate and talented musician. He was skilled at most every instrument, though his favorites were the Accordion, Bajo Cesto and Saxophone.  Roberto passed down his affection for music to his entire family. His boys have followed in their Father’s footsteps and are also skilled musicians. Fortunately, Roberto “Beto” was blessed to be able to sing and dance right up until his last few days of life. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. Roberto had a wonderful sense of humor and brought joy, laughter and treasured memories to those around him. Roberto was a devoted and beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones.
