Life long resident of Del Norte Richard Edward Gallegos also known as “ Nuni & Richie” passed away October 28, 2017. He was born October 30, 1971 in Del Norte, Colorado the son of Eugene Gallegos and Leola Pacheco. Richard was an avid Denver Broncos fan, who enjoyed spending time with his family & Friends, Camping, drives to the mountains, listening to music, and dancing. Richard was well known for his out going personality, and contagious smile and his forever favorite saying (Flora).  Richard was well known by everyone for his kindness and warm hugs. He always told his family (I Love You).

He is survived by his parents Eugene (Corrine) Gallegos of Del Norte, Leola ( Tacho) Lopez of Fort Morgan, siblings; sisters Felicia (John) Garica of Pueblo, Colorado, Felicity (Efren) Marin of Fort Morgan, brothers Glenn ( Melanie) Martinez of Pueblo, Colorado, Diego (Talina) Pacheco of Fort Morgan, Luis (Angelica) Lopez of Fort Morgan;  God Daughter; Latishia Lujan of Pueblo, Colorado;  Aunt Lucille (Gilbert) Chavez of Del Norte, Colorado, Uncle Splinter Gallegos of Monte Vista, Colorado; Aunt Kathryn Looper of Pagosa Springs, Uncle Harold (Joann) Gallegos of Del Norte, Uncle Johnny (Jenny) Gallegos, Uncle Wilfred (Shirley) Gallegos of Monte Vista, Colorado, Aunt Jeanice (Joey) Montoya of Monte Vista, Colorado, Aunt Wilma Gallegos of Denver, Colorado, Uncle Fred (Clara) Gallegos of Las Vegas, Nevada, Aunt JoAnn (Toby) Medina of Pueblo, Colorado, Aunt Loretta Pacheco of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Uncle Gabriel Vigil of Alamosa, Colorado, Uncle Dennis (Betty) Pacheco of Alamosa, Colorado, Uncle Ricky (Stella) Martinez of Monte Vista, Colorado, Uncle Benny Martinez of Del Norte, Colorado.

He will be missed.

Family has chosen cremation.  A memorial mass will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Monte Vista, followed by a reception at the Knight of Columbus in Del Norte, Colorado.
