Renowned speaker coming to Alamosa

Linda Evans Shepherd will speak at the Calvary Bible Chapel in Alamosa

ALAMOSA — “Praying God’s Promises” will be the theme of the 32nd Annual Southern Colorado Women’s Conference.

Linda Evans Shepherd, renowned speaker and author from Longmont, Colo. will return as this years’ guest speaker. The conference is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 4 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Calvary Bible Chapel, 7160 Brush Lane, Alamosa. The cost is $15 for the Friday evening session and $50 for the entire conference. Childcare will also be available at Alamosa Christian Church 410 McQueery, in East Alamosa.

Embracing a heart to seek more of God, “The Prayer Lady,” Linda Evans Shepherd, is an award-winning author who has written numerous book including the bestselling When You Don’t Know What to Pray and her latest, Praying God’s Promises and When You Need to Move a Mountain. Her books have sold over a quarter-of-a-million copies and often achieve the number one position on Amazon.

Linda is an internationally recognized speaker and has spoken in Canada and throughout the United States. She has shared the platform with notable speakers like Philip Yancy, Carol Kent and Stormy Omartin.
