Randy Allen Lucero, 60

Los Sauces resident Randy Allen Lucero, 60, passed away December 1, 2017 at his home with his loving family by his side. Randy was born on September 15, 1957 in Alamosa, Colorado, the son of Gilbert Lucero and Lucille Varos Lucero. Randy was united in marriage to Veronica A. Archuleta on April 9, 1976 in Alamosa, Colorado. The two shared a long and happy union together making memories to last a lifetime together until his passing. He worked as a miner for many years and was an outdoorsman. Randy enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and playing softball. His greatest joy in life came from the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

Survivors include his loving wife Veronica A. Lucero of Los Sauces, CO; mother Lucille Lucero of Sanford, CO; daughter Emma (Max) Duran of Los Sauces, CO; sons Joseph Lucero (Derrick Tafoya) of Denver, CO; Eli (Stephanie) Lucero of Lo Sauces, CO; six grandchildren, sisters Bonnie Duran, Veronica Smith, Kayla Lucero (Leon Brunyer) of Salt Lake City, UT; brothers Phil (Darlene) Lucero of Taos, NM; Bobby (Yvonne) Lucero of La Jara, CO; Jimmy (Nina) Lucero of Salt Lake City, UT; Ignes (Phyllis) Lucero of Sanford, CO; Tony (Emma) Lucero of Antonito, CO; Henry Lucero of Salt Lake City, CO; Gilbert "Dino" (Sueann) Lucero of Mesa, AZ. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Randy was preceded in death by his father Gilbert Lucero, both sets of grandparents, nephews Mark Duran and River Chacon, mother-in-law Emma Archuleta, brothers-in-laws Bonifacio Duran, Wayne Smith.

A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM also at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic church. Interment will follow at the Gate to Heaven Cemetery in Los Sauces, CO. Viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1-5 at the Romero Funeral Chapel in Alamosa. The care of arrangements have been entrusted to Romero Funeral Home of Antonito.
