ALAMOSA — The SLV Republicans concluded their food drive this past week and met Saturday to celebrate the success of good Valley people donating many food items to be given to La Puente’s Food Bank Network of the San Luis Valley.  There are 15 food pantries that strive to address the immediacy of hunger and access to food in valley communities by providing nutritious emergency food to help ensure no one goes hungry in the San Luis Valley.

The Valley Republicans want to thank everyone who had a part in their food drive by delivering their gifts to the SLV GOP office at 817 Main Street.  They celebrated by displaying the food gifts at the successful Flag Rally held on Saturday in front of the GOP Headquarters.  Many attended as horns honked and waves given in support of the Republican candidates in the coming November 3rd election.
