Pertinent expertise

Dear Editor,

I write to express my appreciation for the presence of locally produced news, especially during times of threat, as we now face with the Covid-19 pandemic.

Priscilla Waggoner’s article in the September 22 edition regarding the status of our local health care facilities presented the kind of information we all need to make decisions regarding our businesses, schools, and personal lives to protect our community, our economy, our lives.

I encourage The Courier to focus on factually based writing regarding such a clear and present danger as this pandemic. Fear-driven misinformation from those who do not have pertinent expertise is insidiously dangerous.

“Loose lips sink ships”, was a patriotic slogan used during WWII. It is applicable now.

Sincerely,

Trudi Kretsinger
