Pauline H. Beckner

Alamosa resident Pauline H. Beckner, 95, died April 16, 2024, at the San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center in Alamosa.

Pauline’s life began on March 25, 1929, in Covington, Ohio, the daughter of Willis Angle and Ollie Rapp Angel. She met her future husband Myron B. Beckner at a young people gathering at church and they soon married on February 7, 1948.

Pauline worked for many years as a Beautician in Ohio and later in Arizona. She always supported her husband in his endeavors by assisting in any way, whether driving a potato truck, or wherever she was needed.

Pauline was an accomplished seamstress; she had a knack for art and enjoyed painting. She also enjoyed playing card games, especially Bridge. Above all, Pauline loved the time she spent with her family, and always had a big hug ready.

Pauline is survived by her children Terry (Connie) Beckner and Linda (Steve) Cheney; her grandchildren, Benjamin (Jenny) Beckner, Matt (Brandi) Beckner, Jonathan (Marissa) Beckner, Todd (Theresa) Cheney, Krista (Cole) Cheatham, Ryan (Autumn) Dyer, Dewey (Lacey) Dyer, Gil (Tyson) Martinez-Dyer and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her siblings Marion, Delmar, Glenna, Thelma, Kenneth, Lois, Luther, Mary Ellen, Clinton, her twin Paul, Betty, and Jean; as well as her granddaughter Kacey Mortensen, and great-granddaughter Lacy Dyer.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2024, at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa. Interment will follow services in the Alamosa Cemetery, VFW section, next to her husband Myron.
