ALAMOSA — First Southwest Bank (FSWB) recently announced the promotion of Dan Osby to senior operations officer (SOO), in addition to his previous title as chief technology officer (CTO). Osby will continue to guide FSWB with its innovative expansion throughout rural Colorado.

“Dan has built a wealth of banking and operations experience with us,” said Kent Curtis, CEO of First Southwest Bank. “He has served First Southwest Bank as CTO and has gone above and beyond to prove his success in core technology systems. Dan has intimate knowledge of our programs, products and processes and I am confident he will continue to improve the overall customer experience throughout all our branches and digital channels. The promotion of Dan to SOO has been absolutely seamless.”

With over 24 years of experience, Osby has traveled the world assisting organizations to adopt new technology products and solutions to improve workflow efficiency, lower overall costs, and enhance digital security. Osby joined FSWB in 2013 as the CTO, after a proven history in leadership with Loronix Information Systems, Lore International Institute and Mercury Payment Systems.

“I am ecstatic to expand my role at First Southwest Bank as the senior operations officer,” said Osby. “I am certain that my experience in leading IT systems will help First Southwest Bank continue to integrate and innovate new technology that ultimately improves our customer’s experience at every touchpoint.”

Osby will now be more involved with training, communications, collaboration and streamlining workflow bank-wide. Other responsibilities will include improving the overall customer service experience both in-branch and through online and mobile banking.
