ALAMOSA — Alamosa resident Nora Ornelas, 82, passed away peacefully on Jan. 10, 2020.

Nora is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Jim Ornelas, the love of her life; her son ,Timothy A. Ornelas; grandchildren, Matthew Espinoza, Karie Lichtenfeld and Vaughan J. Ornelas; great-grandchildren Harper, Sawyer and Asher Ornelas.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Ornelas; and grandson Elexis Ornelas; with whom she will be reunited.

She adored and cherished her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren, especially her three great-grandsons.

Nora and Jim are longtime residents of Alamosa.  They are well known across the entire San Luis Valley. Nora and Jim owned and operated O&V Printing from its inception for many years. Nora sold the beautiful tea towels she embroidered there. Nora loved her walks. If she wasn’t home, you’d find her out walking, bowling or at the casino. Nora loved her weekly trips to New Mexico and Jim ensured she was able to do this. Jim and Nora are well traveled and left a lasting impression with everyone they met.

A Resurrection of the Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Parish on Friday, Jan. 17, 2020 at 10 a.m.
