VALLEY — Nominate a special nurse for the 2018 SLV Nightingale Award. Think about a nurse who has touched you or your family in a compassionate, caring way. Nurses make an incredible difference in people’s lives every day!

The Colorado Nurses’ Association, District 6, is soliciting nominations for the annual SLV Nightingale Award. The event will be held at Adams State University on Friday, February 16, 2018. Nominations are encouraged by community members and other health care professionals.

This event will recognize exceptional nurses who are working or retired from nursing and who have contributed to the San Luis Valley through leadership, education, clinical care of patients or through community involvement. Registered Nurses may also be eligible for the state wide Nightingale nomination process, sponsored by the Colorado Nurses Foundation on May 12, 2018 in Denver.
