Night of dance and music at Fort Garland Museum July 31

FORT GARLAND — On Monday, July 31 at 7 p.m., the Seven Falls Dancers from Pueblo will be performing at Fort Garland Museum. The dance troupe represents four generations of Pawnee, Flandreau Santee Sioux and Crow Creek Sioux tribes and has been together for almost 30 years.

The program is both entertaining and educational; they present social and exhibition dances from several different tribes. The origin of each dance is explained with a story. They also do audience participation dances, so join the Fort Garland Museum for an evening of dance and storytelling.

This is a free event in conjunction with the Old Stories New Voices Camp. For more information call the Fort Garland Museum at 379-3512.
