New poll has Frisch closing the gap on Boebert

Frisch surging among unaffiliated voters

ALAMOSA – A new poll of likely voters in Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District shows Western Slope businessman Adam Frisch trailing incumbent Lauren Boebert by just two points, closing the gap by five points over results in July. With an error rate of 4.4%, pollsters with Keating Research say that makes Frisch and Boebert statistically tied.

According to the results, 45% of likely voters said they would vote for Frisch and 47% said they’d vote for Boebert. In a similar poll from July, also conducted by Keating Research, Frisch was seven-points behind Boebert, with 49% supporting Boebert and 42% for Frisch.

Jake Martin with Keating Research, who conducted the poll, attributes the surge to unaffiliated voters, who make up the largest voting block in CO-3.  Fifty-seven percent of unaffiliated voters say they will support Frisch compared to just 32% for Boebert.

The poll also shows Boebert’s favorability rating among voters slipping. Of those polled, 49% view Boebert unfavorably. In the July poll, 44% had an unfavorable opinion.

Frisch is still underwater in favorability with 38% viewing him favorably, but pollsters notice that is a 15-point increase since July. Among unaffiliated voters, Frisch is also gaining with 44% viewing him favorably and 20% unfavorably.

Frisch’s campaign states that they are now heavily investing in television advertising and are outspending Boebert’s campaign. As this campaign grows increasingly competitive in these last weeks, it is hoped that Democratic spending will increase in CO-3.
