Nationwide 'Sip and Serge' events to be held in future

CANON CITY — April is National Serger Month across the United States, and First Stitches Sewing and Quilt Shop is hosting a “Sip and Serge” event at both their Pueblo and Cañon City locations.

At this event, participants will create a colorful apron taught by Serger Experts and enjoy a variety of teas and beverages to include snacks served by Randy Smith, head sewing machine technician of both stores. “No serger experience is necessary,” says Smith. “Sergers are fantastic machines that can be used for a multitude of projects and make sewing so much easier!”

The cost of the event is $5 and everything is supplied, including use of the Baby Lock sergers, all fabric and notions, and guidance to make the apron.

Call the Pueblo store at 719-225-8142 or the Cañon City store at 719-285-8088 for more information. Or go to their website at www.firststitches.com.
