Hayden Youngs reads for “Moose, the Reading Dog” during his appearance at the Alamosa Public Library on Wednesday. Moose has helped many children with their reading skills by simply having them read books to him. Moose and his owner, Dr. Laura Bruneau, an Adams State University Professor of Counselor Education, are a registered therapy dog team. When children read four books to Moose, they receive a book to take home, which is “pawtographed” by Moose.
