ALAMOSA — Michael “Monster” Anthony Padilla, 41, passed away July 3, 2020. Michael came into the world on July 20, 1978, in Germany, the beloved son of Rosie Santistevan and Michael Cruz Padilla. Michael will always be remembered for his big heart. He was always the first to help anyone in need and was a friend to all. He truly was the real-life version of a teddy bear, always kind and compassionate. He loved working on cars, especially low riders. He loved to restore them and add his special touch to making them beautiful. His family will miss his cooking, he made the best tortilla soup. Gone too soon but he will never be forgotten.

Survivors include his daughter Rose, Son Moses, sisters Eva, Carmen and Claudia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother Rosie Irene Santistevan and his father Michael Cruz Padilla.
