McDonald arrested on multiple charges

SAN LUIS — On May 2 at approximately 11:11 a.m. deputies with the Costilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Zanis McDonald, 43, on an outstanding warrant on Main Street and Gasper St. in the town of San Luis.

McDonald was arrested on a valid warrant out of Costilla County for attempt to influence a public servant, obstructing government operations, harassment, and refusal to permit inspection.

During the arrest McDonald was found to have in his possession a Hi Point .45 caliber pistol, resulting in him being charged with possession of a weapon by a previous offender. He was arrested without incident and is currently being held on a $22,000 bond.
