Del Norte resident Mary Jane Robles, 73, passed away February 24, 2017 at her home with her loving family by her side. Mary Jane was born on July 13, 1943 in South Fork, Colorado, the daughter of Amarante Medina and Senida Martinez Medina. Mary Jane was an exceptional mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who enjoyed listening to music, cooking, traveling, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She was a member of the S.P.F. Socidad Beneficarias Fraternal. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her daughter Dolores Tafoya of Monte Vista, CO; sons Manuel (Rachel) Robles and Henry Robles both of Del Norte, CO; several grandchildren; sisters Dora LaVac, Frances (Vincent) Pacheco all of Denver, CO; Theresa Ruiz of Grand Junction, CO; Mela Rivera, of New Mexico; brothers Ben (Sally) Medina, Chris Medina, all of Del Norte, CO; Alfred Medina of South Fork, CO. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mary Jane is preceded in death by her parents Amarante and Senida Medina and brothers Jake Medina, Henry Vigil, Joe Medina, Amarante Medina Jr., Louis Medina and sisters Mary Marquez, Louisa Cordova and Emily Parelta.

A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 7:00 Pm at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Del Norte. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 10:00 AM also at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Del Norte Cemetery. Viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday from 1-5 PM at the Romero Funeral Chapel in Monte Vista, who is in care of the arrangements.
