Mary Beth McWilliams, 73, passed away Monday, July 5, 2021, at home in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.  Mary was born on January 14, 1948, in Monte Vista Colorado to Evan and Josie Esterbrook.  She attended Center Schools and graduated in 1968.  She married Jerry McWilliams in 1975 and he adopted her daughter, Tawnya (Mortensen) in 1976.  Mary lived in Center Colorado all her life until she and her husband Jerry couldn’t be away from their grandkids any longer and moved to Rio Rancho, New Mexico in 2005.  Mary loved to sing, sew, collect cookbooks (cooka-bookas, as she would always say), and yarn……..so much yarn, but most importantly, spend time with her grandkids Haley and Tucker Mortensen who were the light of her life.  Mary will always be remembered for her sense of humor, her laugh, her love for her family and kindness towards others, and of course, we must mention her stubbornness.  After all, her nickname was Muley (given to her by her husband).

 Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ronald and Billy Esterbrook, and sisters, Sharen Coleman and Evelyn Graham.  She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jerry McWilliams, her daughter Tawnya Mortensen and son-in-law, Jeff Mortensen, grandchildren Haley and Tucker Mortensen, sister, Linda Esterbrook and many nieces and nephews.
