Marvine Mascotti

ANTONITO — Marvine Beatrice Mascotti, beloved mother, grandmama, great-grandmama, sister, and friend, went home to be with the Lord on March 22nd, 2021. She entered the world in Los Fuertes, Colo. on December 30th, 1931 to Anastacio and Beatrice (Mondragon) Taylor.

Upon graduating from Antonito High School, she moved to Colorado Springs and met the love of her life, Joe Mascotti, and was married. Marvine was a full-time career woman while raising seven children. She instilled in them Christian values and unconditional love for one another. Marvine was an excellent cook and passed that knowledge on to her children. Her other hobbies included traveling with family, painting, sewing, and walking.

As the Matriarch, she blessed her family with annual reunions at her residence. Those who knew her well, surely remember Marvine’s door was always open and no one ever left hungry. Almost every Sunday was a holiday dinner at her house. Those celebrations will be greatly missed. She was our angel on earth, so kind and generous. Now she is our angel in heaven.

Marvine is preceded in her passing by her husband, Joe Mascotti, son Ricardo, and two siblings; Cordilia Ornelas and Felix Taylor. She is survived by her children; Consuela Mascotti of Aurora, Colo., Joseph Mascotti, Anastacio Mascotti, Francisco (Lori) Mascotti, Laura (Jose) Romero, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Marlinda (Robert) Shields of Falls Creek, Pa., and siblings Martha Muilenburg, Nashville, Tenn., Tonita Trujillo, Colorado Springs, Colo., Joe Taylor, Alamosa, Colo., and Robert (Orlinda) Taylor, Antonito, Colo.
