Maria Elise Amelia Jiron

Maria Elise Amelia Jiron, also known as Honey and Molly, gained her angel wings on Sept. 2, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.  Molly was born on August 16, 1931, to Feliciano Barela and Guadalupe Casias. Molly was united in marriage to Efrim B. Jiron Sr. They welcomed nine wonderful children, 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Molly was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed scratch tickets, Cripple Creek, crafts, painting, cooking, yard sales, traveling and gardening - but above all, the time she spent with her loving family.

Molly is survived by her two daughters: Dolores Levine, Pueblo, CO., Melanie (Tiffany) Jiron, Colorado Springs, three sons: Ronnie (Anita) Jiron, Denver, Co., Darrell Jiron, Colorado Springs Efrim Jiron Jr., Antonito, Co.

She is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends. Molly is proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Efrim Jiron Sr., four sons: Virgil, Terry, Jeffery, and Jeremy, and two grandchildren.

A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary was held on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at 7 p.m.. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Conejos. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 1 p.m. also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Conejos on September 9, 2022. Interment will follow at the La Florida Cemetery in Lobatos.
