Mabel R Rudd

DEL NORTE — Mabel R Rudd, 95 of Del Norte passed away June 18, 2020.

Mabel was born on January 5, 1925, in Canon City, Colorado.

She married the love of her life Orville L. Rudd January 12, 1942.

Mabel enjoyed her family, especially at special occasions.

She loved going fishing in the “old jeep” with Orville.

She was a seamstress; she enjoyed doing oil paintings, and one of her most favorite things was going to The Country Family Inn in Del Norte for biscuits and gravy.

Mabel is survived by her daughter Linda (Donnie) Helmick, Leadville, her daughter Ann Bennett, Del Norte, granddaughter Shellie Martinez, Del Norte, grandson Donin Helmick (Francine DeHerrera), Highlands Ranch, Granddaughter Adlin (Scott) Blamey, Corpus Christi, TX, great-grandkids, Joshua Sandoval, Joseph Sandoval, Jessica Barbosa, Tyler, Caitlin, and Ashley Helmick, Madyson Jessy, and Hailey Blamey. Great-great grandkids, Ryann and Diesel Barbosa, Aidyn Sandoval, Corbin Sandoval, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Mabel was preceded in death by her beloved husband Orville Rudd, her parents, her brother and sisters, her granddaughter Lissa McGregor, and her son-in-law LeRoy Bennett.

A special thanks to all the staff at River Valley Inn for the special cate they gave our loved one.

Graveside services will be at 3:30 pm Saturday, June 20, 2020, at the Del Norte Cemetery.
