Antonito resident Lucy A. Ruybal, 74, passed away peacefully March 2, 2019 at Parkview Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Lucy was born on August 14, 1944 in Sublette, New Mexico, the daughter of Aron Trujillo and Martina Duran Trujillo. She was united in marriage to the love of her life Ronald Ruybal on November 21, 1964 in Conejos, Colorado. Lucy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who enjoyed crocheting, taking care of her children and grandchildren, baking, going camping and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband Ronald Ruybal of Antonito, CO; daughters Aleesha (Mathias) Goodman of Alamosa, CO; Rhonda Ruybal (Martin Falvey) of Thornton, CO; sons Ronnie Aaron Ruybal (Jessica Dawson) of Albuquerque, NM; Nathan Ruybal of Antonito, CO; grandchildren Maximiliano Ruybal, Mariquita Ruybal, Ronnie Liam Ruybal. sister Bernadette (Richard) Giron of Thornton, CO: brothers Stephen Trujillo of Antonito, CO; Antonio Trujillo of Colorado Springs, CO. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Lucy was preceded in death by her parents Aron and Martina Trujillo, grandson Patricio Martinez-Ruybal, sister Magdalena Trujillo, Julie Mares, Arlene Sprights and one brother Endonosio Trujillo.

A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Conejos. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 1:00 PM also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Cremation will follow and inurnment will be held at a later date.
