EL RITO — El Rito resident Lorraine Sandoval, 63, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 23, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 11, 1956 to Fred and Ciria Sandoval who preceded her in death. She is survived by her life partner Delmer Vialpando; their three children Delmer (Kerina) Vialpando who resides in Spokane, Wash.; April Vialpando and Gary Vialpando both of El Rito; granddaughter Deena Vialpando of Spokane; sisters Eva Sanchez and Edith Vialpando, both San Luis; and Martha (Billy) Bernal of Brighton. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was also a devoted Sacred Heart Member. She was loved dearly and will be missed tremendously.

Cremation was chosen and a Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday, November 29, 2019 at 7 p.m. at the San Francisco Catholic Church in El Rito.  Another Vigil Service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at San Francisco Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 11 a.m. also at the San Francisco Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at the San Francisco Cemetery.
