Alamosa resident Lois Jean Cook, 68, passed away July 19, 2017 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Denver with her loving family at her side. Lois was born in Alamosa, CO September 19, 1948, daughter of Harold Leonard Workman and Betty Jean Workman. Lois enjoyed the ocean, mountains, horses, team roping, camping, fishing, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and was an avid Denver Broncos fan. Lois was an amazing daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, cousin, aunt and friend and will be dearly missed.

Lois is survived by her brother Carl (Hilda) Workman of Alamosa, son Marty Cook of Alamosa, daughter Tammy Cook of Alamosa, son Brent (April) Burns of Ramona, CA, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Betty Workman, and her sister Nina Workman.
Services for Lois will be held at the Alamosa Stake Center next to Carroll Park on August 4 at 10:00 am.
