Former Alamosa resident Lidia R. Fernandez, 63, went to her eternal rest June 3, 2020 at her home in Llano, California, surrounded by her loving family. Lidia, came into the world on August 14, 1956, in Alamosa, Colorado, the daughter of Marcelino R. Ramirez and Helen L. Lujan.  She graduated from High School, she met her husband Lucio Fernandez, Lidia devoted her life to her family and raising her children and grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who enjoyed music, singing, being a mother to all her children and grandchildren, spending time with her family and friends.

She will live on through her daughter; Pamela R. Fernandez of Washington; sons; William Fernandez of Palmdale, CA; Lucio (Laci)Fernandez of Del Norte, CO; Joseph A.(Lupita) Fernandez of Virginia; Michael Fernandez of Palmdale, CA; 16 grandchildren. Sisters Linda Johnson of New Mexico; Frances Martinez, Carolina Ramirez, Rosario Ramirez, all of Alamosa, Maria Helena Sandoval of Loch Bouey CO; brother Marcelino (Barbara) Ramirez Jr. of Longmont, CO.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Lidia was preceded in death by her parents Marcelino R. Ramirez and Helen L. Lujan Ramirez, Brother-in-law Manuel Martinez and Louie Sandoval, nephew Juan Pablo Ramirez.

A small Memorial Service will be held at Romero Funeral Home in Alamosa on July 3, 2021, at 9:00 A.M., With A Graveside Service to be held at the Alamosa Cemetery.
