Library sale offers books, crafts for the holidays

ALAMOSA — Get an early start on holiday shopping at the Friends of the Library holiday sale Saturday, November 4, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Alamosa city council chambers, 300 Hunt Ave.

The Friends will have a special selection of gift-worthy books for all ages available at this special sale, their last of the season. Additionally, craft items made from repurposed books would make unique gifts for a special friend or family member. Check out the selection of purses, journals and sketch books, bookmarks and light switch covers. Friends of the Library aprons and T-shirts may be ordered at this sale.

Consider giving the gift of time in 2018. The Friends of the Library are always looking for volunteers. Interested persons may contact Allyn Lewis at 719-588-9410.

Friends of the Library is a non-profit volunteer group that raises money from donated used books to help fund special projects and collections at the public library. Donated books may be taken to the library during regular business hours. Book sales for 2018 will resume in May.
