Library offers early literacy materials

ALAMOSA — Do you or someone you know take care of young children, 5 and under, on a regular basis?

Does someone else take care of your young children, 5 and under, on a regular basis?

Recent studies show that 57 percent of all Colorado children 5 and under are cared for by a family member, friend, or neighbor (FFN’s) on a regular basis.

The Alamosa Public Library, through its Growing Readers Together program, would like to support these people, known as FFN’s, with early literacy materials and training.

We encourage all FFN’s to come in to the library at 300 Hunt Ave., Alamosa and sign-up to receive a large kit of early literacy items.

This project. Growing Readers Together is through a Colorado State Library Buell Foundation Grant.
