In response to the letter “The True Meaning of the Rainbow,” I suggest that if I had to choose between the rainbow being known as a sign of pride, acceptance, love, and diversity or having it associated with a story of vengeance and destruction, the choice is easy. My Methodist upbringing tells me I should pick love every time. And what better way to celebrate God’s diverse creations and His command to love another.
