Thank you for your May 27, 2017 article regarding the transit needs in Alamosa. The Chaffee Shuttle, in partnership with Express Arrow, has provided northbound transportation from Alamosa to Salida and on to Denver or Pueblo for many years now. This service has proven to be invaluable public transportation to meet the varied needs of your community.

We also thank Loaf ’N Jug for their willingness to serve as a bus stop. This allows the service to continue in your area, providing a convenient and safe location to catch the bus.  

However, the City of Alamosa is still in need of a ticket selling agent (commission for sales) and a location for our bus to park overnight to ensure that transportation service continues for the long term.

The Chaffee Shuttle encourages local government and business leaders to work together to create a transit thinking community and address the needs for a transit station in Alamosa.
