Letter to the editor: Bookstore appreciates donations

Dear friends!

It is breathtaking that the Narrow Gauge bookstore is going to reopen as a cooperative. A team of dedicated volunteers and a group of investors, who are now owners have made this possible. The bookstore will include a Kid’s Corner, a reading room, and new and used books. Events will be held there on a regular basis. As they contemplate opening they have created a Wish List. So if you would like to contribute any of the following call Marlena, 719 580-4407 or email her at [email protected].  The Wish List includes an office computer, cloth tablecloths (preferably a solid color), nice looking cooler, floor lamp(s), lamp for side table, hutch, a slew of 8-foot LED tubes, coffee maker, two cold drink dispensers and two large insulated electric coffee/tea urns.

For the Kids Corner we could use some high quality, engaging toys for children under 6, children chairs, and a children’s chalkboard.

The bookstore will have one paid staff and a team of engaging volunteers. If you would like to volunteer to work at the bookstore call Marlena or go to our website, narrowgaugebooks.com and complete the application.

Thanks much!
