Letter to the editor: Agricultural Safety Day supporters thanked

Monte Vista Coop held there 16th Annual Progressive Agricultural Safety Day April 26.

Twelve Valley public schools and two Valley home schools participated with a total of 324 students, 35 teachers/bus drivers and 54 volunteers. 

Safety topics presented this year included “4 Wheeler/Helmet Safety” presented by 4H and FFA students, “Chemical Look A Likes” presented by 4H and FFA students, “Home Alone/Stranger Danger” presented by Del Norte Police Department, “Electric Safety” presented by San Luis Valley Rural Electric, “Safe Digging” presented by Colorado 811, “Lawn Equipment Safety” presented by Monte Vista Coop/4H and FFA students, “Grain Safety” presented by 4H and FFA students, “Roadway Safety” presented by Colorado State Patrol and “Fire Safety” presented by Monte Vista Fire Department. 

Thank you to all our presenters for you continued support and participation.  Without you, this event would not be possible.
