Letter to the Editor: A belated thank you to Alamosa Health Mart Pharmacy

We’d like to start by saying we’re sorry that we took so long to write this, but as busy local business owners ourselves, sometimes time just gets away from us.

We were customers of Alamosa Pharmacy for several years, after the other local pharmacy closed. We were impressed from the start by the friendliness of the staff, the efficiency of their procedures, and their willingness to always try to find the best price on a prescription. It didn’t take long for them to recognize us when we walked in, which always makes a customer feel like a valued customer.

We also found that we could ask questions, even about products that the pharmacy could have sold us, and get an honest answer which sometimes resulted in a no sale for the pharmacy. That’s the way we do business, and that’s the way we appreciate being treated when we are the customers.

There are several local business in the Valley that deserve our support; Caton’s, Kristi Mountain Sports, Chapparral Tire, just to name a few. Occasionally, you may pay a few dollars more to shop or do business in the Valley, but remember, these are your neighbors, friends, and the people you’ll depend on to provide support to local causes. It’s worth it many times over.

We know it must have been heartbreaking to close a business after 23 years, and we also know from conversations with friends that we’re not the only ones feeling the loss.

Alamosa Health Mart Pharmacy…we miss you guys.
