Lester signs to play at Rocky Mountain College

Sargent senior Quincy Lester has signed to agree to continue her athletic and academic career for the Rocky Mountain College Battlin' Bears out of Billings, Montana (NAIA Division, Frontier Conference).

Last year the Battlin' Bears, who are coached by Wes Keller in his third season,  finished 5th in the Frontier Conference. They were nationally ranked and qualified for the Frontier Conference for the first time in five years. They are wrapping up their season this year and are hosting the NAIA Women's Division I National Championships in March. While at RMC she plans to major in Equine Science/Pre-Veterinary Medicine.

Lester finished her basketball career with the Farmers this past Saturday but had been averaging 18.8 points per game and 11 rebounds per game, ranking her No. 1 statewide for all of 2A for double-doubles where she was also ranked third in several other accolades.

Athletic accolades include being a three-time state qualifier in track and field, a three-time selection to the Southern Peaks League All-Conference Volleyball team, three-time selection to the SPL All-Conference basketball squad, Colorado All-State Honorable Mention in basketball and volleyball and she was a participant in the Colorado Coaches for Girls Sports All-State Games in volleyball.

She is also in the running for Co-Valedictorian academically, as she also participates in FBLA, FFA Treasurer, NHS.
