LeRoy Narciso Lopez

LeRoy Narciso Lopez passed away at his home in Alamosa on October 4, 2018 at the age of 85.  LeRoy was born April 5, 1933 to Jose and Matilda (Gallegos) Lopez. In 1949 he married Isabel (Bella) Madrid.  LeRoy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.

LeRoy was a hard worker, retiring from Valley Frame and Axle in 2009 after 38 years of service.  He enjoyed working with horses, hunting, fishing, working on cars, and most importantly spending time with his family.  It was a rare occasion to see LeRoy and Bella without their son, grandchildren, or great grandchildren. LeRoy also touched many lives outside of his family often being referred to as Grandpa by many friends of his grandchildren.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Bella, his sons Edward, Randy,

George, several siblings, and his beloved dogs: Wedo and Buddy.  He is survived by his son Mike (Mario) Lopez, his grandchildren Kristeen (Dan) Mead, Jesse (Adrianna) Lopez, Lisa (Chad) Townsend, Kimberly (Chad) Wells, great grandchildren: Dakota, Schyler, Stone, Randy, Aarik, Destyni, Boston, and Easton, his sister Pauline Vasquez, and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen. There will be a Rosary, Friday, October 12, 2018, at 7:00 pm, at the Sacred Heart Church.  Funeral services will be Saturday, October 13, 2018, at 10:00 am, at Sacred Heart Church; with interment to follow at the Alamosa Cemetery.   A dinner for friends and family will immediately follow at the Knights of Columbus hall in Alamosa. Romero Funeral home has been entrusted with arrangements.
