DEL NORTE — Del Norte resident Lazetta Church, 72, took her eternal rest on April 5, 2021. Lazetta passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family under Hospice care.  Born on June 20, 1948, in Baltimore, Md., she was the oldest daughter of five children of Henry Paul Church and Daisy Helen Church. Lazetta was an exceptional woman, a wonderful mother and a compassionate, kind and caring friend to all. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science Degree as well as Antioch University with a Masters Degree. 

  She was a facilitator for Radiological Technologies, meditation, belly dancing instructor. She loved painting, drawing, sewing and doing beadwork. She would make the most extravagant and beautiful belly dancer costumes that would take hours of time to make. Lazetta had the best attitude and outlook on life. She loved to travel and see the world. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter Le Titia (Timothy) Sloan of Stone Mountain, Ga. son Christopher Riddick of Del Norte, Colo.; grandchildren Tiara Monet King Haynes, Tevon Cassatt, Tamia Sloan, great-grandchildren Alijah King, Aiyana Spencer, Carson Haynes, sisters SiDina Church, Venitia Church; Cedonnia Church. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Lazetta was preceded in death by her parents Henry Paul Church and Daisy Helen Church and one brother Kenneth Church.
