Ladies Aid bazaar, rummage sale set July 12-13 in Creede

CREEDE—The Ladies Aid Society of Creede will host their Annual Bazaar and Rummage Sale on Wednesday and Thursday, July 12 and 13 at the City Gym. The rummage sale, well known as Creede’s biggest outdoor sale, will open both days beginning at 8 a.m.

The bazaar will be held on Wednesday, July 12 only, also beginning at 8 a.m. Homemade baked good items will include the Ladies Aid Society famous signature dish, chili relleno casseroles. Other homemade baked good items will include jams, jellies, pies, cakes, cookies, breads, candies and many other delectable items. Beautiful handmade crafts and Christmas items will be available to purchase.  Ladies Aid Society will also be selling the brand new cookbook, commemorating Creede’s 125th year anniversary. The LAS kitchen ladies will be serving up coffee and breakfast treats beginning at 8 a.m., as well as homemade egg salad and chicken salad, chips, and soft drinks beginning at 10 a.m. Yummy homemade ice cream will be served as well.

Creede residents have already received a colorful neon flyer in the mail a few weeks ago with information about LAS rummage sale and bazaar donations. As residents are doing your summer decluttering, please hold on to rummage sale donations until the drop-off dates, which are Monday, July 10, from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. or on Tuesday, July 11, from 10 a.m. – 2 pm. Ladies Aid Society accepts all donations with the exception of electronics, computers, encyclopedias, mattresses, large appliances and TVs. All used furniture in good condition is appreciated.

They will also be accepting baked goods and crafts donations on Tuesday, July 11 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and on Wednesday, July 12, the actual day of the bazaar, from 7:30 on.

The Ladies Aid Society Annual Bazaar and Rummage Sale is a huge fundraiser for the Creede community, with all items being donated by its members, residents and visitors. One hundred percent of the money that is raised at the sale is put back into the community throughout the year. Ladies Aid Society was established in 1899.
