Keith “Woody” Barker, 75

Keith “Woody” Barker, 75, passed away July 27, 2018. 

He is survived by children, Brian Barker of Wichita, Kan., Brenda Pace of Pueblo and Kim (Teddy) Archuleta of Alamosa; grandchildren, Brooke, Derek, Chandler, Macey and Wyatt; and siblings, Carol (Darrel) Huenergardt and Ted Barker. 

He was preceded in death by parents; and brother, Kip Barker. 

Woody was born to Merle and Helen Barker on September 17, 1942, in Alamosa, Colo.  and owned Team Indy Transport Service.  He spent much of his life involved in Sprint Car and Indy Car Racing and was inducted into the Belleville High Banks Hall of Fame and the BCRA Hall of Fame.  Woody had a love for farming, tractors, drawing up his house plans, taking long drives on old country roads and spending time with his children, grandchildren and his dogs.

Cremation was chosen with Montgomery & Steward Crematorium.   

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 18, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel, 1317 N. Main Street, Pueblo, Colo.
