July menus for senior centers

VALLEY — Following are the July menus for the senior centers throughout the San Luis Valley. Reservations are required. Call South Central Colorado Seniors at 589-4511 or sign up at the individual meal sites. All meals are served with 1-percent milk, no trans fat and no salt butter. Butter is served with bread products. Menus are subject to change.

Monday, July 2 — Split pea soup, turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread, lettuce, tomato, cheese, pineapple tidbits, whole wheat crackers

Tuesday, July 3 — Braut/sauerkraut, whole wheat bun, sun chips. Baked beans, watermelon

Wednesday, July 4 — Closed for Independence Day

Thursday, July 5 — Tuna noodle casserole, vegetable medley, salad, peaches, whole wheat crackers

Friday, July 6 — chicken wrap, whole wheat tortilla, cheese, lettuce, tomato, ranch dressing, mixed vegetables, half orange, churro

Monday, July 9 — Pueblo beef stew, salad, asparagus, diced pears, cornbread

Tuesday, July 10 — Macaroni and cheese, broccoli, mandarin oranges, whole wheat crackers

Wednesday, July 11 — Cheeseburger on bun with everything, sun chips, baked beans, watermelon

Thursday, July 12 — Oven fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, seasoned broccoli, peach crisp, whole wheat roll

Friday, July 13 — Egg salad sandwich, whole wheat bread, sliced tomato and lettuce, pea salad, apricot halves

Monday, July 16 — Crunchy fish, sweet potato link, mixed vegetables, pineapple mandarin orange compote, whole wheat bread
