Judging fairly for science

Adams State University students Elizabeth Heiny and Wyatt Moran analyze a contestant's research at the 69th San Luis Valley Regional Science Fair in Plachy Hall on Thursday. Roughly 250 judges scored more than 280 projects made by elementary, middle school and high school students from across the Valley. Depending on grade, there were 10-11 categories such as physics, engineering and earth science.
